Toulouse -- and home

No picture dear friends and family.  But a thoroughly modern city.  Reminds us that this is the 21st century.  It was fun traveling back in time, but now is the time to return to the present.  I am now in the USA sitting in a Starbucks typing this (My Step-daughter doesn't have WiFi).  It was a long flight on Thursday.  I was up 23 straight hours -- well I did sleep an hour on the 11 hour flight.  Then I slept 12 on Friday.  I've enjoyed visiting with my family here.  I hope you enjoyed my travels.  I certainly did, but as everyone always says.  It's good to be home.  Love you all.

Carcassonne
photo
By far the most interesting place I have visited is Carcassonne, a double walled medieval city.  It has part of a wall from the Roman era (4th century AD) most of the walls were constructed in the 11th and 12th century.  They fell into disrepair during the years and in the 19th and early 20th centuries it was restored.  We spent parts of 3 days here.  It looks just like this!  Absolutely a history buffs dream!
